About Aware-ly
Vision
Aware-ly’s vision is to allow each of us to raise our awareness about ourselves.
Mission
At Aware-ly, we believe that the goal of each soul is to raise its consciousness level. Our mission is applying – Realize● Recognize ● Respond – formula to program the mind to raise awareness about ourselves, to accept who we are, and use the power within to alter our reality by breaking out of undesirable patterns.
In that simple sentence, Aristotle said everything that we need. Can we achieve the control over ourselves that we need to be happy? In my experience, yes we can. I took a long-winded way to get here, but I am sure that I have my hands on something that is extremely helpful.
Aware-ly simplifies the levels of consciousness to a model approach, where we can track our levels with an associated quantity. It helps us track our emotions and how it evokes a life-view.
My name is Shuchi Shukla. I have a Master’s in Engineering and I love to read and write. I, like you, am an average person, who wants to learn ways to improve the quality of my life. I was recently diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation (AFib). I have struggled with stress-induced sleep deprivation- the leading trigger of AFib. Managing stress has been my main struggle. For a large portion of my life, I internalized my emotions, which resulted in my condition. I landed in ER twice with a high heart rate. While AFib is not life-threatening in itself, it can result in cardiac arrest as the heart is beating very fast and can fail. A serious outcome of AFib is the formation of blood clots in the upper chambers of the heart that can cause strokes.
I was happily surprised to find that the whole idea of mindfulness can be formularized in a simple model. In my research, I started applying a lot of principles of Dr. David Hawkins‘ studies in the “levels of consciousness.”
I want to declare that I am not a psychologist, life coach, or professional who has the credentials to hand out counseling advice. The only expertise I have in this matter is self-experiment. Having said that, I will also say that life is about sharing your experiences, and if one can make a difference even in a small way – one should at least try. So, here is my attempt to share what I feel has helped me, with the hope that it will be helpful to you as well.
My partners in crime are my sisters Supriti Mishra (Ph.D., Food and Nutrition), Dipti Pandey (MA in Psychology and Counseling), and Jayati Pathak (MSc. in Computer Science), who have earned their place at Aware-ly with their own life experiences. They contribute to Aware-ly, stories from their lives that align with and enhance Aware-ly’s vision.
